The Detroit Pistons will travel to DC tonight to take on the Washington Wizards in what should be the debut of Marvin Bagley III.

The Pistons have lost seven in a row, so any help will be welcome as they try to stop their slide.

Detroit currently has the league’s worst record and hasn’t won a game since Jerami Grant and Kelly Olynyk both returned from injury. They will be missing Frank Jackson off the bench tonight.

The Wizards are in a slide of their own, as they have won just 2-of-10 and will be missing Daniel Gafford, the newly acquired Kristaps Porzingis and Bradley Beal, who is out for the season.

The Pistons will be trying to incorporate Marvin Bagley III into the their depth chart and the odds for this one are interesting.

Detroit Pistons vs. Washington Wizards: Odds, spread, over/under and best bets

According to WynnBET, the Pistons are four point underdogs on the road against the Wizards, which seems low considering that Detroit has been eviscerated in their last three games in a row.

The books are counting on injuries to Washington and the recent addition of Cade Cunningham from the injured list to keep this one tight.

The money lines are set at +150 for the Pistons and -180 for the Wizards, so with a spread so low it is worth just taking the Pistons to win (if you think they can) and getting the better odds.

The over/under is 218.5, which seems low, as the Pistons have been getting smoked and letting up a ton of points. Detroit has allowed 129 points on average over their last three games, so I’d hammer the over until they show they can at least slow a team down.

It’s hard to take Detroit on the road, as they have only won four games away from home this season. I do like the over in this one, as neither of these teams play much defense and have been letting up a ton of points lately.

Expect a high scoring game and hopefully Detroit can break their losing streak.

Pistons depth chart and starting lineup vs. Wizards

Here is the likely starting lineup and depth chart for Detroit on the road vs. Washington with Frank Jackson ruled out:

  • Cory Joseph/Killian Hayes
  • Cade Cunningham/Rodney McGruder
  • Saddiq Bey/Hamidou Diallo
  • Jerami Grant/Marvin Bagley III
  • Isaiah Stewart/Kelly Olynyk

Killian Hayes has played well off the bench lately, has been much more aggressive and is finally putting up some stats in a changed role.

It will be interesting to see how Dwane Casey incorporates Bagley III into the rotation, and whether he and Olynyk will play together. If they do, which one will be playing center.

I am hoping the Pistons use Bagley III more in the paint than the Kings did, as they often just had him standing in the corner and not taking advantage of what he is good at, which is scoring down low.
