The Detroit Pistons need a consistent Cade Cunningham

Cade Cunningham has been up and down this season, with his momentum and growth stunted by a couple of unfortunate injuries.

The ankle injury stopped him from having a real training camp, so he got off to a slow start trying to play catch up.

The hip injury couldn’t have come at a worse time, as Cade was playing his best basketball of the season, taking over the Rookie Ladder and winning Rookie of the Month before having to miss time.

This is obvious, but it would be nice to see Cade play the entire rest of the season, to stay healthy and to play consistently.

That means keeping the turnovers down, hitting 3-point shots and most importantly, being in the lineup so the Pistons can build the chemistry they have lacked this season.

Cunningham needs reps with his young teammates, to figure out how they fit together and whether they need to make big changes in the offseason.
