The Detroit Pistons weren’t supposed to beat the Miami Heat on the road even before it was announced that Cade Cunningham would sit out with a non-COVID illness.

But someone forgot to tell the Pistons, who played with heart even without their best player and nearly stole a win in Miami over the best team in the Eastern Conference.

The Pistons went on a 19-0 run in the 3rd quarter that was led by rookie Isaiah Livers before Miami was eventually able to pull even and win the game in the final frame.

It was an interesting game that included a tribute to George Blaha from Miami coach Erick Spoelstra. The great Blaha underwent a heart procedure yesterday and Spoelstra wished him a speedy recovering, saying:

"“I want to wish him well and hope for a quick recovery. My dad went to college with him so they go way, way, way back.”"

All fans of the Pistons echo this point and we hope to see the legend behind the mic again soon for what will be his 47th season with the team. #OnBlaha

The Detroit Pistons cover: Best bet in the NBA

Since losing to the Charlotte Hornets back in mid-February, the Detroit Pistons have been the best bet in the NBA.

In their last 13 games, they are an incredible 12-0-1 against the spread, with all but one of them decided by single digits.

I have been pushing this bet in my gambling articles, as the books haven’t caught on yet and keep putting out these ridiculous lines every game.

They haven’t noticed that Detroit has been playing everyone tough and hasn’t been blown out in weeks. Let’s hope the books stay clueless, as this has been the easiest gambling money I’ve made in years.

Hammer that Pistons cover until someone figures it out!
