Detroit Pistons’ Twitter mailbag

This question comes from @bigdogpistons and isn’t really a question but a ranking of free agents.

I’d say that most of these free agents fall into the “not going to happen in a million years” category, but I will do my best.

#1- Zach LaVine (super duper long shot, but man, him and Cade? Sign me up).

#2- Deandre Ayton (solid big man who would fit well with the guards, but doubtful he leaves the Suns).

#3-Anfernee Simons (up and coming scoring guard who would be a perfect fit with Cade, but also highly unlikely to leave his current team).

#4- Miles Bridges (most likely to get overpaid this offseason. I love him as a player, but not sure if he’s a great fit with the Pistons, especially on a max deal).

#5-Collin Sexton (another scoring guard, may be able to get him on a deal since he is coming off injury).

#6- Mo Bamba (if he’s not too expensive, would add a lob threat and rim protection to their group of bigs).

There are a load of lower tier guys and if/when the Pistons strike out on all of these, expect talk about Mitchell Robinson and pretty much anyone that can hit 3-point shots.

The two bigs played well together against Orlando, each logging over 30 minutes and many of them coming together. I don’t think this is something we’ll see for the majority of the stretch as long as Jerami Grant isn’t seriously injured. The Detroit Pistons want to get Grant as many reps with Cade and Saddiq as possible, which probably moves Bagley III back to the bench.

I really like Bagley III off the bench, as he can be a primary scoring option and can dominate a lot of backup power forwards and bigs.
