Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight with plenty on the line for both teams.

The Pistons are just 1.5 games behind OKC for the 4th-worst record in the NBA, which would change their lottery odds slightly. Some fans are freaking out about this, but remember, the odds would only change by 4% for a top-4 pick and 1.5% for the number one overall.

It’s not a tragedy if the Pistons keep winning, as they are almost guaranteed to land in the bottom four which means it will basically be a coin flip to stay in the top-4.

Cade Cunningham is also making his case for NBA Rookie of the Year, an award he should definitely win.

Yes, I am completely and totally biased, but give me the guy who is already the leader of his team, makes everyone else better and just went toe-to-two with Kevin Durant and James Harden in the last two games and didn’t give an inch.

Mobley and Barnes are both great players on good teams and will have long, successful NBA careers. But Cade is THAT guy, and if you don’t know, now you know.

That is my evidence-based analysis. Watch the games. Cade is the best rookie.

I was looking forward to him playing against Josh Giddey tonight but OKC, unlike the Pistons, is in full tank mode and has Giddey and most of the rest of the team out with injury for the season.

Can Cade Cunningham keeping dominating on his way to NBA Rookie of the Year?

Detroit Pistons @ Oklahoma City Thunder: Odds, spread, over/under, Cade Cunningham and other best bets

According to WynnBET, the Pistons are four point favorites tonight on the road, one of the few times this season that they’ve actually been favored away from home.

The Pistons have only failed to cover the spread once (with one tie) in their last 21 games, but that one time was when they were favored.

The money lines are set at -180 for Detroit and +150 for OKC and the over/under at a combined 220.5 points.

Tre Mann, Kenrich Williams, Derrick Favors, Darius Bazley, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, Mike Muscala, Ty Jerome and Luguentz Dort will all be out for OKC tonight in case you were wondering which team is tanking.

This is the first game in awhile that I am worried about the Pistons covering, as they are on the road, it’s the second game of a back-to-back and Detroit tends to play better against good teams.

Even though Detroit has been scoring a lot lately, I do like the under in this one, as these are two of the lowest-scoring teams in the NBA, OKC is missing most of their best players and the Pistons could be on tired legs.

Your daily fantasy bet is obviously Cade Cunningham, who averaged 22.5 points per game in March and has been on a tear, scoring 25+ in three of his last six games. I like that to continue tonight with most of OKC’s best defenders in street clothes.

Saddiq Bey is very streaky and might be coming out of a slump, as he got hot in the 4th quarter last night to carry Detroit to victory over the 76ers. Bey is pretty much an all-or-nothing play in daily fantasy.

Killian Hayes continues to play well and is quietly putting up stats if you are looking for a low-cost play. Marvin Bagley III could be out tonight, so he’s a stay-away.
