Bud don’t lie: Ben Wallace making it big in legal weed

Ben Wallace became a legendary and beloved sports figure playing for the Detroit Pistons. His ability to defend catapulted him to NBA stardom, eventually landing in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

For many athletes, finding their niche after retirement can be difficult. Wallace may have found his in the state where he found success on the court.

Wallace is still involved in the game. The starting center of the Pistons’ ‘Goin’ to Work’ 2004 championship team helps Detroit out at training camp teaching the big men, and is a part owner of the G-League Grand Rapids team. Ben Wallace has entered the marijuana business in Michigan. Cannabis has been legal to sell in Michigan since December, 2019.
