Detroit Pistons: A sign-and-trade for Jerami Grant?

Miles Bridges is a restricted free agent, so this is a stretch to begin with. However, if the Detroit Pistons had their way, this would be a fun player to see next to Cunningham and Hayes.

He isn’t a player that is consistently talked about in Charolette either as LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, and Gordon Hayward have all gotten much of the praise from fans and media outlets.

Once again emphasizing the point that Weaver targets the “forgotten stars” of teams. The stars that don’t get the recognition. The players who deserve better. That is part of the big plan.

This trade would have to be centered around Jerami Grant and a second-round pick to clear out the space to make this deal work, a sacrifice that could happen as Grant would still play a large role if he were to end up in a Hornets Jersey.

Grant is also one of the most highly sought-after trade players in the league after he emerged as an all-around scoring threat and defender in Detroit.

Bridges would add a lot of athleticism and excitement as he is capable of completing ridiculous alley-oop plays on a consistent basis as well as just running the floor and crushing the rim on fast break opportunities.

The Michigan native is also capable of shooting at a great clip for a power forward, hitting 34.6 percent from deep in his career.

If the Pistons are able to get Miles Bridges and Deandre Ayton with Jaden Ivey and Saddiq Bey next to Cunningham it would be incredibly difficult to guard as lob threats fill the roster as well as shooters and good playmakers.

While some of these moves may be difficult to pull off, none of them are unrealistic as the Detroit Pistons are led by a great group of guys who have a plan and know what they are doing. If all of these moves come into reality, the Detroit Pistons could be crowned champions sooner rather than later.
