3 reasons Cory Joseph decided to opt in with Detroit Pistons

It’s simple. Joseph likes being with the Pistons. Since coming to Detroit from Sacramento in March, 2021, as part of the Delon Wright trade, Joseph has played well and enjoyed being a senior leader on a young squad.

The fact he optioned in a week before the June 28 deadline, pretty much shows he did not feel a need to string this out to the end. He does not get any extra money for deciding early, he could have waited in case Paul got a late offer of a much bigger contract.

While Joseph might be happy he is back for another season, is this good news for the Pistons?
