#3: The Kings’ decision

If the growing interest amongst NBA teams about Jaden Ivey is true, the Kings could be in one of the draft’s most desirable spots.

Regardless, there is likely at least one team looking to move up in the lottery order.

If the Kings were to trade out of four, the deal would likely be centered around a proven veteran who still fits within their timeline. This, however, appears to be very unlikely to happen at this point.

Perhaps the Kings aren’t locked on Ivey. Maybe they opt for Murray, who has one of the highest floors in the draft class.

The forward would certainly fit within Sacramento’s core, and pair nicely alongside Sabonis, and arm the Kings with a versatile frontcourt, with two bigs capable of playing in and out of the post.

Nevertheless, Sacramento’s decision at four will answer the first real uncertainty in this draft, and leave Detroit with either Murray, Ivey, and several other top prospects. From there, the rest of the order is anyone’s guess.
