2022 NBA Mock Draft: Pick #6

Scouting Report. Guard. Indiana Pacers / Kentucky. Shaedon Sharpe. player. 100. Pick Analysis. 6

If Sharpe were to fall this far, there would almost certainly be some teams that would ask about trading up with the Pacers, but in this mock, Indiana just grabs the high-ceiling talent.

The Pacers could get back into the playoff picture with the right moves this offseason, but are sort of in the middle of rebuilding and trying to compete, which almost always seems to be the case with Indiana.

Adding Sharpe may not help them right away, but would give them a dynamic backcourt with Tyrese Haliburton, and would make Malcolm Brogdon expendable in a trade.

They would have the beginning of a very good young team that still had enough veteran firepower to compete in the Eastern Conference next season.

Once again, after pick six, things start to get interesting, and this time the Detroit Pistons won’t get shut out.
