The newest member of the Detroit Pistons? That would be former Purdue standout Jaden Ivey. Detroit selected the forward with the No. 5 overall pick in the NBA Draft on Thursday night, adding even more youth and talent to an up-and-coming roster.

Ivey played in 36 games last season for the Boilermakers, averaging 17.3 points, 3.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game. On occasion Ivey might have played a bit too fast, but his incredible speed will only help him at the NBA level.

His athleticism stands out and he made vast improvements from his freshman season to his sophomore campaign. Now we’re hoping he brings his quick motor to the Motor City.
