Detroit Pistons: Best remaining 2022 NBA free agents

  • DeMarcus Cousins
  • LaMarcus Aldridge
  • Serge Ibaka (since re-signed by the Bucks)
  • Dwight Howard

Now that the Pistons drafted Jalen Duren and trade for Nerlens Noel, it’s hard to imagine them making a move for an another center that didn’t involve a trade.

It became clear early on that the Pistons weren’t that serious about pursuing Deandre Ayton, and it turns out that maybe no team is, as he is still out there.

If the Suns end up dealing for Kevin Durant, a sign-and-trade for Ayton makes sense, so the only way Detroit is going to get involved is if they need a third team to grease the wheels with cap space, which the Pistons no longer have.

I can’t see Detroit having interest in any of these other guys, who have all seen better days, especially now that they have a veteran big man in Noel.

Without further trades, the Detroit Pistons are not likely to add another center.
