Detroit Pistons: Ranking the NBA’s new uniforms

The Return of the Teal

Nothing gets fans of the Detroit Pistons as riled up as the topic of the teal uniforms, which older fans tend to hate but younger fans love for whatever reason.

I do like the Pistons to have a splash of color, though wish they would have brought back the wine colored jerseys from this era instead of the teal.

Aside from the horse, which is just silly, teal is not a color I associate with Detroit, which would be my biggest gripe with these.

But they are something different and I am sure they will be one of the top sellers this season, so I am ok with the return of the teal, just wish they would bring back the wine as well, since those were actually great.

The Cherry Blossoms of DC

I know a lot of people will disagree with me here, but I really like the Wizards’ new uniforms, which pay homage to the cherry blossoms of DC and were made in collaboration with the Nationals.

Like the Detroit Pistons, the Wizards chose a color that will stand out against their more traditional uniforms, but they do have some connection to the city, which I like.

It’s weird how bad the baseball uniforms are in comparison, but I like these colorful pink uni’s and think they are one of the best new releases so far.
