Detroit Pistons’ team options for 2023-24
Saben Lee and Isaiah Livers
Just like with the two veterans, the Pistons won’t have to make their decisions on these two players until next offseason.
Lee would make $1.9 million and Livers $1.8 million if Detroit does pick up their options, but it’s hard to see both of these players on the roster after this season.
Of the two, Livers is by far more likely to still be on the team, as he provides the shooting and versatile defense the Pistons are looking for on the wing and he could even play his way into the starting five at some point.
It’s hard to imagine the Pistons picking up Saben Lee’s option, as he has played sparingly and not really shown improvement in areas that he needs to improve, namely his shooting.
Lee would have to impress and work his way into the rotation to even be considered and that is a long shot considering Detroit’s depth at guard.
It’s more likely Lee is waived at some point, so of these to Livers is far more likely to be back for the 2023-24 season.
