Training camp is just about a month away for the Detroit Pistons and there will be plenty to watch.

There are several interesting training camp battles brewing, and until they do something with Kemba Walker, the Pistons have an extra player on the roster, so we know there are going to be additional moves.

It’s possible the Pistons will just waive a player like Saben Lee or make another minor trade to get their roster down to 15 players.

I didn’t think we were in fake trade season yet, but Zach Buckley at Bleacher Report disagrees, as he came up with a pre-training camp trade for every team, including a doozy for the Philadelphia 76ers that involved the Detroit Pistons.

Detroit Pistons: Trade with the Philadelphia 76ers

I had to take a look at this one several times to make sure I wasn’t seeing things, as this seems extremely lopsided for Detroit, not that I am against the Pistons benefitting from a lopsided trade:

In this trade, the Pistons give up journeyman point guard Cory Joseph and two second-round picks in exchange for two-time All-Defensive player Matisse Thybulle and a 19-year-old first-round draft pick in Jaden Springer.

On paper, this seems like a no-brainer for the Detroit Pistons, but would either team actually pull the trigger on a trade like this? Here is why both teams would or wouldn’t do it.
