Pistons game tonight: Pistons vs Hawks odds, injury report, predictions, TV channel for Oct. 28
The Detroit Pistons played a spirited game against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday and still came up short, but they will get another shot at them tonight at Little Caesar’s Arena.
There were some promising performances in the loss, as Cade Cunningham was red hot in the first half and Bojan Bogdanovic continued his torrid shooting to start the season.
The Pistons were undone in the 4th quarter and at the free-throw line, as Detroit hit just 68 percent of their attempts, which turned out to be the difference in the game.
The bench was awful yet again, though Isaiah Livers did offer some hope, scoring 12 points on four 3-point shots. Detroit will need a full team effort tonight, as they will once again be shorthanded and relying on some reserves to step up, which they haven’t so far this season.
Can Detroit avoid the two-game sweep at home against Atlanta? Here is all the important information.
Detroit Pistons vs Atlanta Hawks: Odds, Spread, Over/Under
Detroit covered the last spread against Atlanta, so the books dropped it one point for this contest. According to Fanduel, the Pistons are just six point underdogs tonight at home. The money lines are set at -245 for Atlanta and +200 for Detroit, so you can get decent odds if you think there will be an upset.
The two teams went well over the last over/under, so it has been bumped up to 227.5, which seems high for two teams playing each other for the second time this week. I think we’ll see a slightly lower scoring game this time, so I like the under in this one.
Pistons injury report
The bench will once again be missing Alec Burks and Marvin Bagley III, and there is no telling when they’ll be back, as updates from the team have been few and far between.
Jaden Ivey has been upgraded to questionable with an illness, but don’t be shocked if he sits this one out again. If so, will Dwane Casey shake things up or keep Cory Joseph in the starting five? Could we see Killian Hayes get his first start in an effort to get him going and slow down Trae Young?
Either way, I can’t pick Detroit until I see some improvement.
Detroit 102, Atlanta 110
