Pistons game tonight: Pistons vs Thunder odds, injury report, predictions, TV channel for Nov. 7
The Detroit Pistons are riding a three-game losing streak heading into tonight’s matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Detroit has gotten demolished in the last two games, scoring 91 points against Milwaukee and then managing a measly 88 against the Cavaliers, so there hasn’t been much to cheer about.
There have been some bright spots, as Cade Cunningham continues to evolve into a superstar, Saddiq Bey has been much more efficient and Isaiah Stewart has really come on over the last five games.
The Thunder had won four in a row before dropping their last two, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been spectacular, so he will be the primary focus for the Detroit defense tonight.
This will be the only game in the next 20 in which the Pistons are favored, so things could get ugly, especially if they don’t win tonight.
Here is all of the information you will need.
Detroit Pistons vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Odds, Spread, Over/Under
Detroit is favored by 1.5 points according to Fanduel, which really means the books think it is even or even slightly in favor of OKC considering the Pistons are at home. The money lines are set at -126 for Detroit and +108 for OKC.
The over/under is a combined 223 which seems high considering Detroit has failed to score 100 points in their last two games and OKC has the 6th-best defensive rating in the NBA right now. Detroit has the worst, but I still like the under in this one.
Pistons injury report
Detroit got some good news, as rookie Jalen Duren has been upgraded to probable for tonight’s game, which should give the awful bench a slight boost. Alec Burks and Marvin Bagley III are still out, though they both practiced with the team for the first time since their injuries, so their return is imminent.
The Thunder will be missing Chet Holmgren and Aleksej Pokusevski, so they are down a combined 200 pounds of player.
Detroit Pistons vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: Prediction
Detroit is coming off two awful performances against the two hottest teams in the NBA, so I don’t think we can judge them by those two games. However, there were some body language issues in the last blowout, so I hope some of these young Pistons are not ready to check out already. Hopefully Duren’s return will give them a boost and they’ll be up for playing a team they have a chance of beating.
But until I see that, it’s hard to pick Detroit to win against anyone, even at home.
Detroit 105, OKC 108
