Pistons game tonight: Pistons vs Knicks odds, Cade Cunningham injury update, predictions, TV channel for Nov. 11
The Detroit Pistons will try to avoid losing their seventh straight road game to start the season tonight against the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden.
The Pistons got washed by the Celtics in the last game, putting forth one of their worst defensive efforts of the season.
The Knicks haven’t been much better this season, as they are just 5-6 and coming off a loss to the Brooklyn Nets.
Both teams have been disappointments, but Knicks’ fans can’t be happy about the way their season has started after making the big trade for Jalen Brunson in the offseason.
Detroit may be extra short handed tonight, which is one of the reasons they are heavy underdogs on the road in New York.
Can they steal one from the Knicks under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden? Here’s everything you need to know.
Detroit Pistons vs New York Knicks: Odds, Spread, Over/Under
Detroit is currently eight point underdogs against the Knicks tonight according to Fanduel. The money lines are +260 for Detroit and -320 for the Knicks, so this is a game the Pistons are not expected to win.
The over/under is a combined 225.5 points, which might give bettors some value. Even though neither of these teams has a very good offense right now (averaging a combined 220 points), their defenses are even worse, as they allow 233 combined points on average.
I like the over in this one, as I think the bad defense will win out, but be sure to check the injury report before the game, as there are some key players potentially out.
Pistons injury report
There is good news and bad news on the injury front. Alec Burks has been upgraded to questionable and could make his debut tonight and Marvin Bagley III is also getting closer, and has been upgraded to questionable.
The bad news is that both Cade Cunningham and Hamidou Diallo are questionable for tonight’s matchup with the Knicks. Cunningham is reportedly having soreness in his shin and will be a game time decision. If Cade sits tonight, you can expect a big game from Jaden Ivey, but don’t expect a win.
Quentin Grimes is probable for the Knicks and Mitchell Robinson has been ruled out, which is good news for the Detroit centers.
Detroit Pistons vs. New York Knicks: Prediction
Detroit isn’t playing well on either end of the floor right now and got smoked by the Knicks the last time they played.
Add the fact that their best player might be out, and this doesn’t look promising for Detroit. I do expect the rookies to have big games tonight against the Knicks, but it probably won’t be enough.
Detroit 110, New York 117
