Pistons game tonight: Pistons vs Kings odds, Cade Cunningham injury update, predictions, TV channel for Nov. 20
The good news for the Detroit Pistons is that things cannot get worse.
After starting the season a league-worst 3-14, Detroit got the news that second-year star Cade Cunningham will likely have to miss extended time and possibly the entire season.
This is on top of already losing Isaiah Stewart to injury, so to say this is a depressing time to be a Pistons’ fan would be an understatement.
And this is all happening in the middle of a six-game road trip (Detroit is still winless on the road) with the Pistons mired in a six-game losing streak with no sign of a win in sight.
Tonight they will take on the Sacramento Kings, one of the NBA’s hottest teams, who have won five in a row. Are there any good movies playing? How about that World Cup?
Detroit Pistons vs Sacramento Kings: Odds, Spread, Over/Under
I think this line is egregiously low, but Fanduel has Detroit as just 9.5 point underdogs even though they are missing three starters, are taking on a hot team and have yet to win a game away from home.
The money lines are +340 for Detroit and -430 for Sacramento and the over/under is a combined 232.5, which is hard to call. On one hand, Detroit might give up 150 points tonight, on the other, they may only score 70.
Pistons injury report: Is Cade Cunningham out for the season?
Cade Cunningham will be out for the foreseeable future, and if he decides to have surgery on his shin, he could very well miss the rest of the season, as that is a 60-game injury according to many Twitter doctors.
Isaiah Stewart will also be out, as will Saddiq Bey, who turned his ankle in the last game. Cory Joseph is listed as day-to-day.
Keegan Murray is listed as probable for the Kings, and Malik Monk is still questionable for tonight’s game. Murray vs. Ivey might be the only reason to watch this game.
Detroit Pistons vs. Sacramento Kings: Prediction
Pain? Me crying into my Cade Cunningham jersey? Those are the only certainties in this one.
I’d say betting against Detroit will be easy money for the foreseeable future, though you won’t get very good odds. I imagine the Pistons will try to rally around their injured teammates tonight, so we will see effort, but all of the effort in the world can’t make up for a roster that is now seriously lacking talent even more than it already was.
I do think Marvin Bagley III could go off tonight against his former team, so having him in fantasy might be a good play tonight. But it’s hard to see how Detroit is going to score otherwise.
Take the Kings to cover and collect your blood money.
Detroit 105, Sacramento 125
