As a team, the Detroit Pistons are certainly not trending in the right direction even if you had modest expectations coming in.

Their 3-15 record is the worst in the NBA. They’ve lost seven games in a row, and still haven’t notched a win on the road.

They are at or near the bottom of the league in pretty much every offensive and defensive category, though their offense has ticked up over the last two games. Unfortunately, the defense got even worse, which has pretty much been on brand for this young team.

That’s not to mention the injury woes, as Cade Cunningham will miss extended time and may have to have surgery that could end his season. Isaiah Stewart is still out with a toe injury, and even Iron Man Saddiq Bey, who started every game last season, is out with an ankle injury.

So to say things aren’t going well would be an understatement, and there is not much for Pistons’ fans to do at this point but enjoy the ride, hope for development and individual improvement and pray to the Lottery Gods before bed each night.

But amidst all of the losing and bad news, there have been some players trending in the right direction, but there have also been some guys going the other way. Let’s start with the players who have been impressive recently.
