Pistons game tonight: Pistons vs Jazz odds, Cade Cunningham injury update, predictions, TV channel for Nov. 23
The Detroit Pistons got their first road win of the season last night in Denver and hope to do the same tonight in Salt Lake City vs. the Utah Jazz.
The Jazz are one of the NBA’s surprise teams of the season, as they are currently the 2nd seed in the Western Conference after trading away their three best players in the offseason.
Detroit was part of that, as they took on Bojan Bogdanovic in exchange for Kelly Olynyk, a move that has worked out well for both teams. Both players are near the top of the league in 3-point shooting and have been good for their new teams.
This will be the second game of Detroit’s 6th back-to-back of the season, which seems ridiculous considering they haven’t even played 20 games yet.
The Pistons will be even bigger underdogs tonight, but can they pull off the improbable back-to-back wins on the road?
Here is the information you will need.
Detroit Pistons vs Utah Jazz: Odds, Spread, Over/Under
Fanduel has Detroit as 11.5 point underdogs tonight in Utah, obviously factoring in the back-to-back in that assessment, as it is nearly double last night’s spread.
The money lines are +520 for Detroit and -720 for Utah so the Pistons are definitely not expected to win this game.
The over/under is set at a combined 228.5 points, which seems low considering these two teams allow 232.5 combined on average and Detroit has averaged 120 over their last three games.
But Detroit will also be on tired legs, which could factor into this one. I’d still go over but wouldn’t feel confident in it.
Pistons injury report: Is Cade Cunningham out for the season?
There is still no indication of the long term plans for Cade Cunningham’s injury, as he is just listed as out indefinitely. Hopefully he will avoid season-ending surgery, but if he has to have it anyway, I wish they’d just get on with it.
Isaiah Stewart and Saddiq Bey are also still out with this one. Interestingly, the offense has been better without these two but the defense has been much worse.
The Jazz will be missing Johnny Juzang, Mike Conley Jr. and Rudy Gay.
Detroit Pistons vs. Utah Jazz: Prediction
I would like Detroit’s chances if they weren’t on the second game of a back-to-back, as they have been playing with a little more spirit and offense of late. People keep waiting for this Utah hot streak to end, and thus far, there is no sign of that happening, as Lauri Markkanen is having an All-NBA type season and they just keep rolling, though they did lose their last game to the Clippers.
I think we’ll see an up and down game early but that eventually Detroit will wear out and not quite have enough firepower to pull off the win.
Detroit 112, Utah 120
