Pistons game tonight: Pistons vs Cavs odds, Cade Cunningham injury update, predictions, TV channel for Nov. 27
The Detroit Pistons return home tonight to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers after a six-game road trip out West.
The Pistons went just 2-4, but started to play better behind an improved bench and a mini-surge from Killian Hayes.
It didn’t do much to help them in the standings, as Detroit currently has the worst record in the NBA.
Detroit can’t seem to catch a break this season, as they started playing better just about the time Cade Cunningham went down with injury and was joined by Isaiah Stewart, Saddiq Bey, Jaden Ivey and now potentially Bojan Bogdanovic.
If you’re counting, that is the Pistons’ entire starting lineup potentially in street clothes tonight.
The Cavaliers are fresh off a loss to the Bucks, but have won 4-of-5 overall to propel themselves into the 3rd-seed in the Eastern Conference. Can Detroit knock off one of their rivals with just bench players?
Here is everything you need to know.
Detroit Pistons vs Cleveland Cavaliers: Odds, Spread, Over/Under
Surprisingly, Fanduel has Detroit as just seven point underdogs tonight at home against Cleveland, which seems low considering the Cavs wiped them out in the last meeting and the Pistons were at full strength.
The money lines are set at +240 for Detroit and -295 for Cleveland and the over/under is a combined 221 points.
It’s hard to like the over with so many guys potentially injured, but these two teams average 224.6 points combined and give up 225.5, so it does seem a bit low, but I like the under, as the Cavaliers have a tough defense and Detroit will be shorthanded.
Pistons injury report: Is Cade Cunningham out for the season?
The good news is that both Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart have been upgraded to questionable, but the bad news is that Jaden Ivey, Bojan Bogdanovic and Cory Joseph are questionable as well. Cade Cunningham is still out, so Detroit could potentially be missing their entire starting five plus a bench player.
Kevin Love and Lamar Stevens are out for Cleveland and Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert are listed as questionable.
Detroit Pistons vs. Cleveland Cavaliers: Prediction
Even though the Pistons have been hanging tight of late and are 7-0-1 against the spread in their last eight games, it’s hard to pick them to win with these injury issues.
The bench guys have been playing better of late, but with many of them potentially starting tonight, Detroit is going to be left dangerously thin.
I think they will play hard at home and keep it tight for awhile, but the Cavaliers will eventually pull away, especially if Bogdanovic and Ivey are still out.
Detroit 105, Cleveland 111
