Someone will end a losing streak tonight when the Detroit Pistons take on the New York Knicks at Little Caesar’s Arena.

Both teams have lost two in a row, and this will be the third time they have met this season, with the Knicks winning the previous two both at home.

The Knicks aren’t far ahead of Detroit in the standings and have to be disappointed after they traded away a lot to get guard Jalen Brunson.

The Pistons are still in last place in the Eastern Conference, but have been playing much better of late and haven’t lost a game by double digits since November 11th.

Can Detroit finally beat this Knicks team? Here is all of the information you will need.

Detroit Pistons vs New York Knicks: Odds, Spread, Over/Under

It appears that the sports books have finally caught onto the Pistons, as Fanduel has Detroit as just five point underdogs even though they are still missing several key players.

The money lines are +180 for Detroit and -215 for New York with the over/under set at 224.5 combined points.

That seems high considering these are two of the worst offenses in the NBA, but they are also two of the worst defenses, giving up an incredible 233.6 combined points per game on average.

Detroit is actually just ahead of New York in points per game allowed after being much better defensively over the last three games. These two teams went way over in their first two matchups, but the under looks more tempting tonight with so many scorers out.

Pistons injury report: Is Cade Cunningham out for the season?

Isaiah Stewart, Jaden Ivey, Bojan Bogdanovic and Marvin Bagley III are all listed as questionable for  Detroit, so it’s possible that the Pistons will have just one center from their regular rotation. Could be time to break the glass and dust off Nerlens Noel against his old team.

Cade Cunningham is still out and there is still no update on whether he plans to get surgery that will likely end his season.

Immanuel Quickley is questionable for the Knicks.

Detroit Pistons vs. New York Knicks: Prediction

This might be the best chance for Detroit to get a win on this home stand, as they will face Dallas and Memphis next and the Knicks haven’t been playing particularly well lately.

But if MBIII joins Beef Stew on the injured list, Detroit is going to be very small and still be missing all of their best scorers. As good as they have played lately, it’s still hard to see them pull off a win with such a depleted group.

But I do think they will once-again keep it close in a low-scoring affair as they did against the Cavaliers.

Detroit 105, New York 110
