The Detroit Pistons will try to end their four game losing streak tonight on the road against the Atlanta Hawks.

Both of these teams have been somewhat disappointing this season, as the Pistons have the worst record in the league and the Hawks are just .500 and sitting in 8th place in the fairly mediocre Eastern Conference.

Both teams have been the subject of trade rumors, some involving each other, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Hawks make a big shake up to try and improve around Trae Young.

The perfect trade target is likely out of reach. light. Related Story

The Pistons are coming off a garbage loss to the 76ers that has some of the fanbase discouraged, while the Hawks are fresh off a close loss to the terrible Bulls.

Detroit Pistons vs Atlanta Hawks: Odds, Spread, Over/Under

According to Fanduel, Detroit is a nine point underdog on the road tonight in Atlanta, with money lines set at +320 for Detroit and -405 for Atlanta.

The over/under is a combined 233 points, which is pretty high until you realize that Detroit has one of the worst defenses in the league and has been allowing over 120 points per game over their last six.

The teams went well over this total in both of their previous games and probably will again tonight.

Pistons injury report

Cade Cunningham is out for the season and Isaiah Livers is still out for several more weeks. The Hawks could be missing Clint Cappela, who is listed as questionable for tonight’s game.

Detroit Pistons vs. Atlanta Hawks: Prediction

The most discouraging thing about the Pistons this season has been their defensive regression and lack of effort on that end. They’ve barely put up resistance in the last handful of games, and eventually is it going to cost Dwane Casey his job.

I expect another high-scoring affair tonight, and though Detroit has been scoring more points of late (outside of the 76ers debacle), it’s not enough to keep up with their porous defense.

Detroit 114, Atlanta 122
