The Detroit Pistons and Golden State Warriors couldn’t be much further apart as franchises

The Pistons have the worst record in the NBA, while the Warriors are the defending champs and right back in the playoff mix again this season after winning five in a row even though Stephen Curry has been out.

The Golden State warriors are the best franchise in the NBA

The Warriors have been the model franchise for the better part of a decade, as they have won four titles and have one of the most popular and marketable teams in the league.

They are pretty much what every team hopes to be, a consistent title contender that packs every arena they step foot in and sells merchandise all over the world.

The Pistons, meanwhile, have been the second-worst team in the NBA over the last 10 seasons, haven’t won a playoff game since 2008 and have won just 63 games in the last three seasons combined, just 10 more games than the Warriors won last season alone.

Detroit is in the midst of a rebuild and has some promising talent, but they are still a long way from being a consistent contender.

The Warriors have gotten to this position by being brilliant both on and off the court, as they have not only been the model of team building but also of team play.

There is plenty the Detroit Pistons can learn about both by studying how the Golden State Warriors have gotten to where they are today.
