The Detroit Pistons will take on the Golden State Warriors tonight with both teams missing key players.

The Pistons are without Cade Cunningham and the Warriors have been missing Stephen Curry, who is still a few weeks from re-evaluation.

It hasn’t affected the Warriors of late, as they have won five in a row and climbed to a tie for 8th in the competitive Western Conference with the slumping Suns.

Detroit is coming off a discouraging loss to the Portland Trail Blazers in which all of their issues reared their ugly heads at once, as the defense and shooting were terrible, and the Pistons did a poor job of sharing the ball.

Passing has been an issue all season, though the Pistons did overcome it in their last meeting against Golden State, a game they won behind a team effort that included 24 assists. Detroit still had Cade Cunningham back then, so a lot of things will be different in this one, as the Warriors are also missing several key players.

Can the Pistons beat the defending champs again? Here is everything you’ll need to know.

Detroit Pistons vs Golden State Warriors: Odds, Spread, Over/Under

According to Fanduel, Detroit is a seven point underdog tonight against Golden State. The money lines are set at +225 for Detroit and -275 for Golden State.

There is not yet an over/under for this game. The Warriors are 17-2 at home, so even though they are shorthanded, I wouldn’t bet on Detroit to cover after their showing against Portland.

Pistons injury report

In addition to Cade Cunningham (out for the season) and Isaiah Livers (out indefinitely), Detroit will be missing Marvin Bagley III, who will be out at least 6-8 weeks with a hand injury.

The Warriors will be missing Stephen Curry, Andre Iguodala, James Wiseman, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga and JaMychal Green. With so many forwards out, this could be a game for Saddiq Bey to have a big night.

Detroit Pistons vs. Golden State Warriors: Prediction

With so many players out, you’d think Detroit would have a chance in this one, but the Warriors have been playing well behind Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole and have won five in a row against better teams than the Pistons even though they are shorthanded.

There is also the issue of how good the Warriors are at home and the fact that Detroit is 5-17 on the road, which is why they are such big dogs even though the Warriors are missing so many guys.

This will be a test to see if Dwane Casey is losing his team, as Detroit played horribly against Portland and needs to have a bounce-back game where they at least keep it close. I’m not sure that is going to happen.

Detroit 105, Golden State 118
