The Detroit Pistons are reportedly getting calls about Bojan Bogdanovic trades again. Rumors are starting to fly ahead of the February trade deadline and Bogdanovic is a guy who could help pretty much any contender.

We’ve already taken a look at some possible trades for Bogdanovic, as it has been reported that teams like the Cavaliers, Lakers, Mavericks and Suns have all shown interest.

But another team is apparently ready to make their case, as Matt Moore of the Action Network named the Milwaukee Bucks as a possible suitor for Bogdanovic.

He makes sense for Milwaukee, as they need 3-point shooting, as they are just 23rd in the league in percentage, though they are 8th in overall 3-point makes per game, so the problem isn’t that severe.

What is more concerning for the Bucks is the injury and contract status of Khris Middleton, who has only played in seven games this season and can opt out of his contract after this season, which he might if he wants to seek a long-term deal.

The Detroit Pistons are reportedly looking for a young player and a first-round draft pick in return for Bogdanovic, so are the Milwaukee Bucks a realistic trade partner?

Detroit Pistons: Trading Bojan Bogdanovic to the Bucks

Given the fact that Detroit has said repeatedly that they don’t want to trade Bogdanovic, it’s hard to see the Bucks having the right offer unless there is a third team involved.

They don’t have really have any young players the Pistons would want and don’t have a draft pick to trade until 2029, so a trade with the Bucks is extremely unlikely unless there is a third team.

Here is one I came up with just to illustrate the challenges:

Ingles is on an expiring deal, so he is no commitment, but Grayson Allen is not a guy I’d like to see on the Pistons considering his contract extends past this season and he’s one of the biggest ***** in the NBA (You can decide what those asterisks mean).

Nwora is a guy who might interest the Detroit Pistons, and he’s on a value deal, but he has a lot of overlapping skills with Isaiah Livers. This would really be about a pick six years in the future and I can’t imagine the Pistons pulling the trigger just to get a pick so far down the road.

The Bucks also have MarJon Beauchamp, but might balk at giving him up in a deal like this, though he would be a more interesting prospect for Detroit.

There may be a third or even fourth team out there willing to help grease the wheels and get Bogdanovic to Milwaukee, as they don’t have the assets to trade for Bogdanovic unless it is part of a bigger deal.
