Detroit Pistons: Trade of Alec Burks to the New Orleans Pelicans

In a recent article, Bobby Marks of ESPN wrote a trade he’d like to see for each team, including the Detroit Pistons.

Here is the one he came up with for Detroit:

As someone who used to cover the Pelicans, I can tell you that their fans would do this trade in a heartbeat, as they have turned on Graham, who is having his worst season since his first year in the league and has become the focus of fan ire.

The Pelicans shoot a good percentage from long range as a team, but they don’t shoot many of them, instead focusing on getting to the rim and scoring in the paint.

Burks would be a great fit for them, as he’d provide some shooting and spacing off the bench, and is a much more versatile defender than Graham, who can really only cover point guards and doesn’t do that well either.

The Pels also have several undersized guards in Graham, Jose Alvarado and Kira Lewis Jr. and would love to add some more size on the perimeter.

But what about the Detroit Pistons? Is this enough for Alec Burks?
