To pry Burks out of Detroit, I’m expecting GM Troy Weaver to need a young player and or first round pick included for any deal to be agreed upon.

This potential deal was floated out on Twitter by @spursdontmiss and gives Detroit one of their two ideal pieces in return.

The main incentive for the Pistons to agree to this trade is rookie forward MarJon Beauchamp, who I floated that Detroit could ask for in a trade for Bojan Bogdanovic.

If the Detroit Pistons were to do a deal with the Bucks, I’d expect them to need at least one young player, likely Beauchamp, in return. Milwaukee does not fully own their own first round pick until 2028. The draft capital that they can send to Detroit is a bit thinner than other potential Burks suitors.

Detroit also receives Grayson Allen in this trade to offset Burks’ salary, making the deal work. Allen is only under contract through next season, and is making a reasonable $8.5 million per year. If the Pistons were to receive Allen, they can give him some run through the end of his contract, while also exploring the opportunity to deal him at next season’s deadline on an expiring contract.
