Detroit Pistons: 3 most disappointing players this season
With just four games remaining the season, it’s safe to say that this was a disappointing one for the Detroit Pistons.
It’s not just the fact that they have the worst record in the NBA and are currently tied for the fewest wins in franchise history. It was even more disappointing to see Cade Cunningham go down, the team fall apart, and the season end with Detroit once-again holding out their veterans in an effort to lose.
The season was a bust the second Cade went down, but there hasn’t been much growth, we didn’t learn much about the young core and the roster is an even bigger mess than it was at the beginning of the season.
The bright spots have been few and far between, but at least the rookies played well, which should give fans some hope that better days are coming.
You can blame a lot of the problems of this season on youth and injuries, but there were also guys who did not live up to expectations.

Isaiah Livers
Coming into the season, Livers was once-again injured on the fringes of the rotation, but after the Detroit Pistons traded away Saddiq Bey and Bojan Bogdanovic went out for the tank, the path was cleared for Livers to get big minutes.
He’s had some good moments, but has only played in 51 games and has been wildly inconsistent, shooting just 35 percent from long range and doing very little else on offense.
His defense is fine, but his season hasn’t inspired much hope that he is the answer to their problem at the wing. Livers has a team option that is cheap for next season, so I am sure he’ll be back (less sure than I was though) but next season will be a make or break one for him.
This isn’t all his fault, as he is a role player who will be better once he is surrounded by better teammates.
But he has to stay healthy and hit 40 percent of his 3-point shots it’s that simple. Livers will be turning 25 in a few months, so he’s not exactly a young prospect. His numbers actually got worse this year, and if Detroit loads up on wings this offseason, he could be on the outside of the rotation next season.
