The Detroit Pistons will likely be active in the NBA free agent market this offseason, either looking to land a big name or fill out their roster with veteran upgrades.

Some of these free agents are still playing in the NBA Playoffs and can get themselves a bigger payday with solid playoff performances.

For the purposes of this, free agents are broken into three categories: Those with player options, those who will be restricted free agents, and those who are unrestricted.

There are plenty of names in each category that might interest the Detroit Pistons.

Detroit Pistons: Potential NBA free agents with player options

Some of these players will undoubtedly exercise their options, while others might sign extensions with their current teams, while others will decline the option in search of bigger, long-term deals. If could come down to how their respective teams finish in the NBA Playoffs.

  • Donte DiVincenzo

You can probably rule out the top three guys, as they will either exercise their options, sign extensions or aren’t fits with the Detroit Pistons.

Josh Hart is a guy I love, but I could definitely see him working out something with the Knicks. If he hits the market, he could be a fit with the Pistons as a wing who can rebound and defend.

Former Piston Bruce Brown would be an option, as he has evolved into a very good role player for the Nuggets and also provides defense.

DiVincenzo has improved his shooting this season, so might draw some interest if he were to be available.
