Detroit Pistons: 5 Free agent targets that would complement Victor Wembanyama
4. Josh Hart
In the modern NBA, good shooters and defenders are always a necessity. With Bogdanovic potentially gone from the roster, the Pistons will need more players that are a legitimate threat from the perimeter who can also defend it. There is no one with a hotter hand in the league right now than Josh Hart.
All season long with both the Trail Blazers and now the Knicks, Hart has shot well while defending multiple positions. In 76 regular season games played, he made 37 percent of his shots from beyond the arc, while shooting nearly 52 percent in his 25 games for the Knicks.
If the Pistons wanted to pick up a player in free agency who is peaking, there is no better option than Josh Hart. This is likely the best version of him we will ever see, and Detroit would do well to give Hart a look.
Hart also represents a player who is senior enough to bring playoff experience and tenure with him, while also being young enough that he fits closer to the timeline of the Pistons’ younger players than others.
