Detroit Pistons’ disappointment: The health of Isaiah Livers

Isaiah Livers, who was drafted in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft, hasn’t been able to show he can be a long-term piece for the Detroit Pistons moving forward. The wing drafted from Michigan showed promise in his rookie season, hitting 42 percent of his threes in just 19 games.

Unfortunately, his sophomore season was riddled with more injuries, limiting Livers to just 52 games. Both his field goal percentage (41 percent) and 3-point percentage (36.5 percent) were down this season as Livers struggled to find rhythm.

The bill is still out on Isaiah Livers’ long-term future with Detroit. While you like his size and shooting ability as a wing, the Pistons have money to spend this offseason, making Livers a very replaceable player heading into next year.
