Detroit Pistons’ pleasant surprise- The trade for James Wiseman
A lot of Pistons fans were skeptical of the James Wiseman-Saddiq Bey trade. But it looks like it could very well work out for the Detroit Pistons in the long run.
James Wiseman showed why he was drafted second overall in the 2020 NBA draft. The 22-year-old averaged 12.7 points per game, 8.1 rebounds per game, while shooting 53 percent from the field in his time with the Pistons.
For Wiseman, fans will hope his shooting will continue to improve, even if it is just a midrange jump shot. The 2023-24 season will be a big one for James Wiseman, as it will be the end of his rookie contract and his long-term future with the Pistons will be much clearer. But Wiseman has the potential to be an impact player and Pistons’ fans should be excited for what he can bring to the team next season.
