Getting Cade Cunningham back will be a big boost, but the Pistons still have several glaring needs that must be addressed in the draft, free agency and trades this offseason.
We’ve been taking a look at free agents who could potentially plug some of the holes in the roster, starting with veteran guards.

But arguably their biggest need is for defense on the wing, as Bojan Bogdanovic ranked near the bottom of wing defenders this season and the Detroit Pistons logged their worst defensive rating in team history.
If you’ve been paying attention to the playoffs, versatile wing defenders have been crucial, but there won’t be many in free agency for the Pistons to choose from.

#4: Torrey Craig
Craig is not an elite player but he’s a hard worker and very good defender who can guard a couple of spots.
He can shoot the 3-ball, but his biggest benefit to the Detroit Pistons would be defense, as Craig is the type of relentless defender who isn’t afraid to take on the tough assignments.
On top of that, he’s a competitor who would raise the overall level of competition in Pistons’ practices, something they need.
I’ve talked about Craig so many times I may as well be his agent, but he’d be a great fit. The fact that he is this high on the list shows just how few wing defenders are available this summer.
