The Pistons can do better than this proposed B/R trade with Spurs

Detroit Pistons: Proposed trade with the San Antonio Spurs

Recently Bleacher Report came up with a trade for all of the teams not in the NBA Finals, which obviously includes the Detroit Pistons.

The idea is on the right path, but the Pistons can probably do better than this for Marvin Bagley III:

In this trade, Detroit better balances their roster by taking back guard Devonte’ Graham in exchange for Marvin Bagley III.

The money works out, as both guys are due over $12 million guaranteed for each of the next two seasons, so neither team would be taking on an extra salary.

Roster-wise the deal makes some sense too, as the Detroit Pistons would get the veteran guard that they need and the Spurs would get some help for Wembanyama, allowing him to play at the power forward.

But there are a couple of reasons why Detroit should stay away from this deal.
