Detroit Pistons: Best free-agent fits after the 2023 NBA Draft

Harrison Barnes: Unrestricted free agent

Barnes is a not a name you hear a lot, as he quietly goes about his work as one of the steadiest 3-and-D forwards in the league.

Like Williams, he can defend all over but is probably more comfortable against fours at this point in his career. He’s a 38 percent 3-point shooter for his career and is perfectly comfortable playing off the ball, as he has for the last several seasons in Sacramento.

Barnes may be inclined to try and see the Kings’ rebuild through to the end, as they finally broke through this season and there will be mutual interest in running it back.

Barnes is already 30-years-old but played in all 82 games this past season, one of the only guys in the NBA to do so. Considering the Pistons’ injury problems, that is a selling point.

Barnes is not the flashiest name, but he can defend, shoot 3’s and is a solid veteran presence in the locker room. Is he interested in helping another up and coming team get over the hump?
