3 Things Pistons must immediately do the minute free agency begins

Have a trade ready for Marvin Bagley III or James Wiseman

It’s hard to see the Detroit Pistons going into next season with four bigs on the roster, especially since three of them can’t shoot at all and the other one (Stewart) is a work in process.

If the Pistons are going to extend Stewart, then it makes sense to trade one of Marvin Bagley III or James Wiseman for a wing player to better balance the roster.

Detroit has reportedly shown interest in DeAndre Hunter from the Hawks, and could offer them the salary relief they are looking for by sending them MBIII in a straight up swap.

The Nets are another team that might be looking to shake things up and shed some salary, especially if they have to outbid Detroit for Cam Johnson.

A trade of Marvin Bagley III for Dorian Finney-Smith makes some sense and would give Brooklyn some future cap space and Detroit a more balanced roster.

There will be options out there and Detroit should take advantage of a team that needs salary relief to rid themselves of one of their superfluous big men.
