3 Things Pistons must immediately do the minute free agency begins

Pivot quickly to Plan B, C, D…

The Detroit Pistons can’t get too caught up chasing one guy, especially when there isn’t really one free agent who is head and shoulders above the rest. If Cam Johnson doesn’t want to sign an offer sheet right away, Detroit should pivot to Plan B, whatever that is.

If that means then making an offer to Harrison Barnes, they should have that offer ready to go and hit the send button the second Johnson decides to stay or Brooklyn decides to match.

Detroit doesn’t have the luxury of waiting around long, as every team with money is looking for the same type of player (forwards who can defend and shoot) and those guys are going to get gobbled up quickly.

Hopefully they have a very good idea of what type of offer it is going to take to land their guy, will make it and he’ll accept, but if not, all other options need to be loaded in the cannon and ready to fire.
