The Detroit Pistons will finish off their Summer League Schedule tonight against the San Antonio Spurs.

The final Summer League game is always a solemn affair, as its ending represents the longest possible time until we see more basketball. The young Pistons need as much time as possible to practice, improve and prepare, but the dog days of the offseason are nearly upon fans, who will have to wait until the Fall to see more basketball.

The Pistons have been exciting so far, winning two of their three games behind the all-around play of Ausar Thompson, who filled the stat sheet and the highlight reels in the most recent win over Toronto.

It hasn’t yet been announced whether Ausar Thompson will take part in the fourth and final game against the Spurs, but we know Victor Wembanyama has already been shut down, so we won’t be seeing him.

We’ll like get a heavy dose of players we may never hear from again, so this final game will be a deep dive for fans who are into prospects and the G-League.

How to watch the Pistons Summer League game vs. Spurs

The Pistons final Summer League game vs. the Spurs will start at 8:30 PM ET and you can watch on NBA TV. The game will also be available to stream on NBA League Pass if you have it and live in the correct region.

Before it all started, I picked Tosan Evbuomwan to be this year’s Summer League Legend and so far that hasn’t happened, though he did get a start in the last game, playing 15 minutes and scoring six points.

This will be the last chance for the fringe guys to make an impression and this game could help decide which players get two-way deals and which ones head off to the G-League with no contract looking for a team to play for.

So expect a high energy and competitive game, as the players we’ll see have something to fight for and are trying to prove themselves worthy of keeping around. I would also expect a big night for Marcus Sasser, who could get a chance to be the featured offensive player if Thompson hits the bench early or doesn’t play at all.
