Is proposed trade with Spurs worth it for the Pistons?

It’s not likely the Pistons will get much for Marvin Bagley III right now, as he’s not been able to stay healthy and can only fill one very specific role in a rotation, which is a scoring center off the bench.

So this trade proposed by Bleacher Report is not exciting, but represents what might be out there if the Pistons wanted to get off Bagley’s contract:

In this trade Detroit relieves their logjam of centers by dealing MBIII and two second-round picks to the Spurs in exchange for veteran Reggie Bullock

Bullock is due just over $10 million (if the Spurs fully guarantee his deal) next season and then would be a free agent.

He averaged just over seven points for Dallas last season in 78 games played, while MBIII averaged 12 points and 6.4 rebounds in the 42 games he’s played last season.

Bullock is also eight years older than MBIII and probably near the journeyman-back-of-the-bench guy stage of his career.

So Detroit would essentially be giving up a young player with some amount of upside for a veteran on an expiring deal. Is it worth it for Detroit?
