8 Detroit Pistons that never played a single minute

1. Kemba Walker

Kemba Walker was another formerly-great player who came to the Detroit Pistons well past his prime.

He was part of the trade that gave the Pistons Jalen Duren, with the Knicks essentially giving up the rights to Duren so that Detroit would take Walker’s salary off their hands.

There was never any illusion that the Pistons were going to keep Walker, as they were rebuilding and he was washed. They tried in vain to trade him before eventually waiving him to allow him to sign with the Dallas Mavericks.

Walker, who was a four-time All-Star for Charlotte, was a confirmed Pistons’ killer throughout his career, so I thought Detroit might keep him just to never have to play against him. But it turns out Walker’s days were numbered as he only played a handful of games for Dallas.
