Detroit Pistons: Trade proposal with Memphis Grizzlies

So this “will he, won’t he” with the Detroit Pistons’ veterans is likely to be a big theme until next year’s trade deadline comes and goes.

We’ve been through this the last two seasons with Jerami Grant and then Bojan Bogdanovic, but this year we can expect Alec Burks, Joe Harris and maybe even Monte Morris to join the trade rumor mill, though Morris  seems the most likely to stay long term.

So would a deal that brought back two possible rotation pieces in exchange for one of these veterans be enough to move Troy Weaver to action? That’s what happens in this trade proposal from Bleacher Report:

At first glance this seems like a lot for the Grizzlies to give up for Alec Burks, who is a very good 3-point shooter but on an expiring deal.

He would certainly help them now, and Memphis would then be in the driver’s seat to re-sign him if it worked out, or open up some cap space if it didn’t.

But what about the Detroit Pistons? Would adding two players offset the loss of one of their best shooters?
