Detroit Pistons: Each young player’s biggest rival

Isaiah Stewart vs. LeBron James

This is my favorite because it carries on the long tradition of hating the Lakers, which is the birthright of every Pistons fan. I don’t hate LeBron James and I doubt Stewart does either. Nor do I think LeBron is a particularly dirty player, but when he bloodied Isaiah Stewart at the free throw line he unleashed some of that old Bad Boys’ spirit, as Stewart went after him in a melee that looked like something out of professional wrestling. Nothing much has happened since, but Beef Stew is always going to bring a little something extra against LeBron. Let’s hope it translates into a few Pistons’ victories next season and a renewal of an old rivalry.

Ausar Thompson vs. Amen Thompson

Neither of these two have played a single minute in the NBA, but as identical twins, they have rivalry built into their DNA.

This will be the first season that the Thompson twins have ever been on opposing teams, and both the Pistons and Rockets will look to climb out of the cellar next season, so there is the possibility that these two will become great rivals for years to come.

I am sure they would both wish each other well, but you know they want to get the best of each other, especially Ausar, who has long been thought of as the lesser player of the two, something he hopes to dispel next season.
