Detroit Pistons: The most pointless trade proposal so far

I don’t think most fans of the Detroit Pistons would be upset if the team moved on from Killian Hayes.

He’s gotten a lot of opportunities and has not shown much improvement in the areas where he needs to improve. But that doesn’t mean the team should make a trade just to make one, which is exactly what happens in a recent trade proposal from Bleacher Report.

In this trade, the Kings and Pistons swap two players who have not performed up to expectations so far and may not have spots in their respective rotations.

This actually does make some sense for the Kings, as they are very thin at backup point guard, and Mitchell isn’t really a point guard even though he is only 6-foot-2.

Hayes might actually get minutes on the Kings, whereas on the Pistons he is buried on the depth chart after the addition of Monte Morris and the return of Cade Cunningham.

But this is one of the few cases where a one-for-one swap for Killian Hayes would actually rip off the Pistons.
