5 questions we’d love answered at Pistons media day

#2: Is there another trade coming, or is this the roster?

The Pistons have done nothing to address their logjams at center and guard, nor their lack of depth at power forward.

Depending on how you view Bojan Bogdanovic, the Pistons only have one real power forward on the roster in Isaiah Livers, who may be injured.

They are already rolling the dice by putting Isaiah Stewart in that spot, so this is an area that will eventually need to be addressed. Even if Stewart works out (which I think he will), Detroit is dangerously thin at power forward.

The problem is that guys like Marvin Bagley III and Killian Hayes have little value, so it will be difficult for Detroit to add an impact player without dipping into their veteran trade assets.

#3: Will we see lineups featuring two bigs?

This question for Monty Williams will be even more important if Isaiah Livers truly is injured.

It’s likely we’ll see Isaiah Stewart move from power forward to small-ball center at times and the Pistons could decide to cover most of their big-man minutes by playing him with another big or just going small.

But they could also use bench lineups that feature James Wiseman at center with Marvin Bagley III at power forward, which were a disaster last season.

I’m sure Detroit wants to see what they have in Wiseman, and the only way for MBIII’s value to increase is if he plays, so how is coach Williams going to find minutes for all of these guys without playing them together?
