Detroit Pistons: 13 NBA stars who could be traded this season

Dejounte Murray: Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks were mediocre last season and did little to change that in the offseason. At some point they might pull the plug on the Murray/Trae Young experiment, and if they do, Murray seems like the more likely candidate to go.

It’s hard to see how the Detroit Pistons would get involved in this, though they did reportedly express interest in DeAndre Hunter this offseason, so it’s possible he could be folded into the deal if Atlanta decides to go for a soft rebuild.

Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan: Chicago Bulls

I can’t believe this hasn’t happened already, as the Bulls are not good enough to win the Eastern Conference and these guys aren’t getting any younger. If the Bulls struggle early, expect the trade rumors to be swirling around these two players, and to a lesser extent, Nikola Vucevic. The Bulls need to rebuild and these are their two best assets.

I highly doubt either of them will end up with the Detroit Pistons, but if the Bulls have a fire sale, Patrick Williams is a name to watch.

Jarrett Allen: Cleveland Cavaliers

Cleveland’s two big lineups were exposed in the playoffs (are you paying attention Mr. Weaver?) and they have to wonder if playing Allen and Evan Mobley together is sustainable long term.

Allen is on a very reasonable deal for an All-Star center and will on the radar of any team who needs a big who can protect the rim and rebound. Hopefully someone blocked the Cavaliers’ number on Troy Weaver’s phone so he can’t add a 5th center.
