Detroit Pistons: 13 NBA stars who could be traded this season

Kyrie Irving: Dallas Mavericks

Kyrie Irving cannot be traded until December 15th after signing an extension, which gives the Mavericks plenty of time to see if he works with Luka Doncic or manages to wear out his welcome. Irving is obviously very talented, but has rubbed people the wrong way every place he’s been. This one is all about Luka, as he is the obvious priority in Dallas, so if Irving isn’t making his life easier, we could see him moved once again.

Chris Paul: Golden State Warriors

From the second the Warriors traded for Chris Paul there were questions about whether he’d be staying. The Warriors were reportedly already inquiring about Jrue Holiday, so that probably answers the question.

If the Warriors want to get another more impactful star who is a better fit, then trading Paul and his contract along with one or two of their young guys is probably the way to do it. Paul may not be what he was, but he would still be a big name on the trade market.

Jerami Grant: Portland Trail Blazers

It wouldn’t be an NBA season without some Jerami Grant trade rumors, and that became even more likely in the fallout of the Damian Lillard trade. This is a guy the Detroit Pistons expressed some amount of interest in bringing back, but his new contract makes that less likely. He’d be a nice fit in some ways, but Detroit should probably stay away from that deal.
