Detroit Pistons: 13 NBA stars who could be traded this season

Joel Embiid: Philadelphia 76ers

If the 76ers can’t make this Harden thing work or find a good trade for him, it’s possible that reigning MVP Joel Embiid won’t be far behind. Let’s face it, the 76ers are a mess right now with no clear way of improving aside from trading Harden. They aren’t likely to get full value, so it’s hard to see them winning the East with this group that is aging quickly. The Knicks have been waiting for this scenario to unfold and will be sniffing around if Philly starts slowly and Embiid isn’t happy.

Kawhi Leonard, Paul George: LA Clippers

It’s hard to see the Clippers coming out of the Western Conference next season unless both of these players are healthy and actually play, which seems increasingly unlikely. They only played 108 games combined last season, though the Clippers made the playoffs anyway. But are they anything more than a first-round exit if one or both of these players are sidelined? If LA starts to lean towards “no” then we could see them both traded at some point, as they can still get a haul of assets to start over, which won’t be the case soon.
