The Lakers were one of many teams that was a suitor for Bojan Bogdanovic last season and for good reason.

LA was just 28th in the NBA in 3-pointers made per game and could still use more players who can spread the floor around LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

They’ve done little to address that problem, so don’t be shocked when they are sniffing around Bojan Bogdanovic, Alec Burks and Joe Harris at some point this season.

The problem is that the Lakers have little to offer that the Pistons would actually want, as their young players aren’t great fits (Rui Hachimura is a possibility). They do have future draft picks which could end up being very valuable in the post-LeBron era.

The Lakers know this and have been reluctant to move off those picks so far, but the clock is ticking the Lakers’ title window with LeBron, so this could be the season that they go for it and put some real trade assets on the table.

The Lakers are only potential partner if the Detroit Pistons are struggling at the deadline and feel they need to shake things up, or get something for their expiring veterans before they walk for nothing.
